Doctor of Medicine from 2006. The thesis defended on April 28th 2006 in Academic Specialized Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases of AMS of Ukraine named after L. V. Gromashevsky. Scientific advisor - the member of AMS of Ukraine, MD, professor M. A. Andreychin.

Associate professor of Infectious Diseases from February 26th 1998.

Candidate of Medical Sciences since 1990. The thesis defended on March 28th 1990 in Academic Specialized Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases named after L. V. Gromashevsky of USSR Ministry of Health. Scientific advisor - MD, professor M. A. Andreychin.

HONORS AND AWARDS

He was awarded with diplomas of the Association of infectionists in Ukraine (1998, 2003, 2006, 2011 years) and Diploma of Ministry of Health of Ukraine (2003).

He was awarded with the gratitude of Sumy Regional State Administration Health Department (1997, 2000, 2008, 2010).

He was awarded with the medal of Agapit Pechersky of the Association of infectionists in Ukraine "for his contributions to the fight against infectious diseases" (2010).

The Department of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology Research School is operated and conducts research on the scientific direction "Application of new methods of diagnosis, non-pharmacological and chemotherapeutic treatments of common infections in North-Eastern region of Ukraine”

BCX1812-301 (multicenter, randomized, double-blind, controlled Phase ІІІ study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of intravenous peramiviru as an adjunct to standard therapy compared with standard therapy alone in adults and adolescents hospitalized with flu in severe form);

TMC125IFD3002 (An open-label study to evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of etravirine (ETR) in combination with other antiretrovirals (ARVs) in antiretroviral treatment-experienced HIV-1 infected subjects, Phase IV)

He is the author of over 450 scientific publications, including - 1 monograph, 1 owner, 14 textbooks approved by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education of Ukraine, a number of guidelines, 6 certificates for inventions and patents, etc. The publication can be found in the SumDU Repository

CURATIVE AND CONSULTATIVE WORK

Head of the Clinic of Infectious Diseases.

Took part in the localization of epidemic outbreaks of diphtheria (600 patients), shigellosis (Shostka - 1000, Lebedin – 200, Romney - 100), enteroviral infection (130 people), mycoplasmosis (250), pandemic influenza (over 1000 people) both in Ukraine and abroad (Tajikistan, 1988).

Involves in organizing and conducting of training seminars on localization and suppression of epidemic infectious diseases every year in various medical establishments of the region.

Initiated and developed, and now is continuing to implement a regional program "Antihepatitis”, which makes good economic and social consequences.
